About Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™

It is the mission of a Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ to help protect families from the possibilities of financial loss.  Whether that loss results from the death of a loved one whose income is crucial to your family’s survival or from depletion of your assets due to insufficient retirement planning. It is the responsibility of each designee to assist the public in retirement planning needs and uphold a stringent code of ethics. 

The guidance of a Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ will give you a sense of security and peace of mind that your family’s finances are safe from harm. 

The Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ designation is only awarded to those financial advisors who meet the following minimum prerequisites:

  • Successful completion of preliminary Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ coursework

  • Successful completion of advanced Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ coursework and examination results in the following areas (please click the course name below for detailed information)

1.  Retirement Planning & Plans
2.  Senior Market Sales Ethics
3.  Principles of Wealth Management

  • Successful completion of five retirement planning techniques seminars
  • Active State insurance producer license in good standing with a one-year minimum of industry experience
  • No disciplinary actions taken against state producer license
  • Completion of 15 Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ continuing education hours per year, including 2 hours of ethics CE
  • Adherence to Certified Retirement Planner, CRP™ code of ethics
